Anger Management!

Anger Management
  • Think before you speak.  Listen to those around you.
  • Change subject, use distraction.  When calm express your anger in assertive way.  Nonconfrontational way.  State concerns and needs clearly and directly without hurting others or trying to control them.
  • Get some exercise.  Physical activity can help reduce stress that can cause you to become angry.  Walk briskly, run. Something enjoyable.  Go for a walk.
  • Take a timeout  Give yourself short breaks, Time Out.  Quite atmosphere.
  • Identify Possible Solutions.
  • Use I statements.  Be respectful and specific.  I am upset because.........
  • Dont hold a grudge.  Forgiveness is a tool to help all parties involved.
  • Use humor to release tension.
  • Avoid Sarcasm.
  • Practice Relavation Skills.
  • Know when to seek help.
