Anger Management
- Think before you speak. Listen to those around you.
- Change subject, use distraction. When calm express your anger in assertive way. Nonconfrontational way. State concerns and needs clearly and directly without hurting others or trying to control them.
- Get some exercise. Physical activity can help reduce stress that can cause you to become angry. Walk briskly, run. Something enjoyable. Go for a walk.
- Take a timeout Give yourself short breaks, Time Out. Quite atmosphere.
- Identify Possible Solutions.
- Use I statements. Be respectful and specific. I am upset because.........
- Dont hold a grudge. Forgiveness is a tool to help all parties involved.
- Use humor to release tension.
- Avoid Sarcasm.
- Practice Relavation Skills.
- Know when to seek help.
